    Anemia: An Ayurvedic Cure

Anemia is a disease in which hemoglobin and red blood cells are found in fewer amounts in

the blood than normal. In Ayurveda, it is known as Pandu Roga means whitish pale

    coloration.

Actually, hemoglobin in your blood binds to oxygen, but on account of anemia, the oxygen

carrying capacity of blood gets reduced. We often get tired or cope with difficulty breathing

when hemoglobin deficiency occurs in the blood.

According to WHO, the normal level of hemoglobin is as follows

In an adult female - 12-15 grams per deciliter

In an adult male -    14 - 18  grams per deciliter

The word Anemia is derived from ancient Greek in which two words are added mutually.

The first word is "Ane", means absent/missing/lack and another word "mia" implies for

blood, which means the lack of blood.

There are different types of anemia, but iron deficiency anemia is mostly observed.

If hemoglobin levels are lower than normal, do not worry because the complete solution is

available in Ayurveda to get rid of anemia. First of all, focus on iron rich food items and get
