    v  Try not to use cornsilk with antihypertensive drugs otherwise, blood pressure may be lower than normal.

    v  Its use with anti-diabetic medication can be harmful because combined effect may cause hypoglycemia (low level of sugar in the blood).

    v  Do not use it in an excessive amount to take advantage soon regarding obesity, or it may be calamitous.

    v  An unnecessary and excessive consumption of cornsilk can cause reduced levels of potassium in the blood.

    v  If pesticides have been sprayed on the corn plants, do not use corn silk as a medicine.
