    Peptic ulcers also called Stomach ulcers, Gastric ulcers,

    PUD (peptic ulcer disease) and ulcus pepticum, is an

    extremely agonizing painful disorder and an open sore or 

    erosion of the gastro-intestinal tract or a wound in the inner 

    wall surfaces (mucus membranes) of the stomach and a 

    result of excessive hydrochloric acid (Hcl) secretion in the

    stomach, which is usually credited to an infection of 

    Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) as well. 


    It's influencing a huge amount of people, approximately 

    75% of patients with peptic ulcer disorder are afflicted by 

    H. pylori.

    -Oesophageal ulcer.

    -Duodenal ulcer.

    -Gastric ulcer.

    -Meckel’s Diverticulum ulcer.


    What are the sources of Peptic ulcers?



    Infection - Helicobacter pylori.

    Excess usage of spicy and greasy foods.

    Usage of NSAIDs (Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs / Pain-killers) like Ibuprofen, paracitamol, diclofenac sodium, aspirin etc.

    Excessive usage of Caffeinated drinks like tea.

    Zollinger Ellison syndrome.

    Especially in the instances of individuals with blood group O and Immune system abnormalities like reducing and bringing down of natural level of resistance and immunity.

    Toxins accumulating in the body.

    Poor nourishment and digestion.

    Lifestyle Changes, Diet and other strategy - 




    The patient should choose light and easily digestible food.

    Chilies, hot spices, sour foods, fried foods, should be totally avoided and NSAIDs (analgesics) too.

    Foods that heal peptic ulcer are cabbage juice, bananas, beans, corn and unpolished rice etc. may be helpful regarding peptic ulcers.

    Excessive or unnecessary use of milk, alcoholic beverages, liquors, chewing tobacco, and cigarrete or Biri smoking should be avoided for better result in peptic ulcer.

    Avoid being starvated because pain of the ulcers have a tendency to occur when stomach is empty. 

    Eating small repeated meals on an interval of 3-4 hours is so better.

    Sleep well and stay away from any sorts of mental tension, anxiety, stress etc.

    Yoga asanas like vajrasan, paschimottanasan, bhujangasan, pavanamukthasan etc. should be employed on daily basis.

    Raw Goat’s milk and Almond milk likewise have an important role in recovery and healing of peptic ulcers.

    Drink a lot of normal water and stop intake of caffeinated beverages or refreshments like tea.
