    What is  pimple/acne?

    Pimples are the most frequent skin disorder which impacts teenagers at their puberty and also known as Acne vulgaris in medico-term. Now a days, pimples/acne turn into a huge hazard and quite typical complaint of teens/adolescents/young adults affecting facial skin and great reason behind related to both sex. The main known reasons for pimples/acne development will be the production of sebum from the sebaceous gland (formed due to clogging of skin-pores and oil glands) and hormonal imbalance as well.

    Bacterial infection due to poor skin care.

    Family history.

    Consumption of more meat, fish, eggs (non vegetarian foods), chocolates, fried, oily and junk foods etc.

    Improper, over use of cosmetics and a lot of makeups.

    Hair - dandruff.

    Hot climate and excessive exposure to dust and pollutants.

    Certain medications like steroids/cortico-steroids, birth control pills, androgen hormones and other hormone therapy.

    Due to excessive production of sebum (skin oil) from sebaceous gland.

    Pregnancy.

    Emotional - Stress and anxiety.

    Too many late nights - Night awakening.

    Diet, Lifestyle Advice, Tips and basic steps to prevent and reduce 
    pimples / acne

    Keep your face clean always off dirt and oil and for this purpose wash your face twice daily with gentle cleanser or herbal soaps. 
    Avoid chemical substance possessed cosmetics.

    Wash hair regularly with herbal shampoo to keep your hair clean and clear off dandruff.

    Always use water based moisturizers and better avoid oil based ones.

    Practice a normal  exercises, Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama etc. for manage anxiety and stress.

    Get a great deal of sleep at least 8 hours at night time and avoid sleeping with your makeup.

    Eat fresh, unprocessed easily digestible foods and consume foods such as sprouts, green salads, mangoes, pears, plums, avocados, sweet fruits, pomegranate, carrot, cucumber, guava, apple, cranberries, cherries, oranges etc.

    Avoid deep fried, oily, hot spicy, processed foods, sour foods, canned foods, fast foods, junk foods, dry fruits, potatoes, tomatoes, eggs, beef, meat, peas, coconut, dates, milk, dairy products, chocolate, pizza, tea, coffee, and cola-drinks. 
     
    Avoid  Constipation  and keep a habit of emptying bowels regularly.  

    Drink sufficient and plenty of normal water (increase intake of drinking water to about 10 - 12 glasses daily)

    Usually do not touch or squeeze the acne lesions because touching the acne area frequently, resulting in worsening the problem. So avoid picking the pimples to prevent scarring.

    Always use clean towels for face wiping.

    Thorough wash your face 2 times daily with lukewarm water and mild facial cleanser. Always make sure that use oil free makeup.

    Hot water - vapor is more beneficial to the face to lessen the swelling.

    Apply ice on the pimples/acne to get comfort.

    Stay away from excessive heat, high temperature and, sun exposure.

    Hormone balancing therapy, if necessary.
