    Types of  diabetes mellitus -

    - Juvenile diabetes

    IDDM-Insulin depended diabetes mellitus type 1 - 
    Type-1 diabetes is sometimes called  juvenile diabetes. It means that your body can’t produce insulin and helps your body turn the glucose from the meals you taken into a way to obtain energy. It occurs more often in children and young adults, but makes up about only 5 - 10% of the total diabetes cases countrywide. Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus or Type 1 diabetes is result of decreased creation of hormone insulin by the pancreas.

    - NIDDM - Non- insulin depended diabetes mellitus type 2

    Type 2 Diabetes is also called Non-Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (NIDDM) or Adult-onset Diabetes and results when insulin production is faulty and tissue resistance to insulin develops. For most sufferers with Type-2 diabetes, daily insulin supplementation is not needed. Diabetes is maintained by making modest and average changes in exercise and diet. Both hereditary and environmental factors resulting in its development and progression. It’s seen as an increased glucose level in the blood due to deficiency or inactivity of hormone. Insulin that is completely essential to support glucose metabolism of body. 
    Type 2 diabetes fundamentally occurs due to defective insulin secretion associated with faulty responsiveness of the body to the insulin which is well known as insulin resistance diabetes and highly associated with over weight problems.

    - Gestational diabetes

    It is detected throughout pregnancy. Treatment is typically not needed. Blood sugar levels come down to the normal after child birth.
